One of my memories was envying those just back from the States with the latest clothes and fads etc. I remeber Carol and Marilyn Stenger coming back with pop-it beads and twin sweater sets - and they were generous to loan them on occasion! Man, if you were wearing one oth those items, you were HOT (or thought you were!)

I remember signing up the night before for the ironing board in the morning? Starching and ironing those crinolines? Ironing those circle skirts!! Thank God for non-wrinkle materials these days....I rarely buy anything that reqwuires ironing. When we firsr came back to the States, my mom made me practice ironing my Dad's and Peter and Gene's which shirts ...yuck! Boy did I miss the dobie and sending laundry out.
